Greetings Neuse Families!
We started our week off with a bang! We are trying to get back to our regular routine now that we are starting our first whole week and beginning of the new quarter. Report cards will be coming home on Thursday. As a reminder, just as we discussed at the First Grade presentation, first grade has a grade scale breakdown. Please see the diagram on the left for the scale breakdown. When the report cards are sent home, please keep them. We just need the envelope signed and returned by Monday.
The character parade will be held on Monday, October 31 at 10:30. The party will follow in our classroom. Mrs. Joyner has graciously volunteered to help with the Halloween party. She needs the following donations to set up six stations.
Supplies
Paint - white, yellow, orange (florescent would be neat, but not necessary)
Black card stock or construction paper
Tootsie pops - 2 for each student
Kleenex
Small hair bands
Orange and black ribbon (thin)
Candy corn
Candy corn pumpkins
6 small orange pumpkin, 6 small white pumpkins (hand sized)

Students may arrive with their costumes on or they can put them on before the parade. I look forward to seeing all my students dressed up!!
Monday folders were filled on Monday and I have a few papers that needed to be signed and returned. If you have any of these papers, please sign them and return in the front pocket of their OWL binder.
